Great Western

A quaint and charming township located on the Western Highway between Ararat and Stawell, Great Western is internationally known as a historic wine region producing award-winning wines.

First settled in the 1840s by sheep graziers, this Grampians sub-region rapidly developed through the discovery of gold and then the planting of grape vines.

Widely known for its magnificent Shiraz, it is home to the Seppelts, Best’s and Grampians Estate wineries, making it the perfect place to live for wine lovers.

A small yet soulful township, Great Western will provide those who seek an escape from city life with the solace required to discover their true happiness as they take on work in one of the region’s larger cities.
